Hi, hope you've had a great weekend so far. In case you haven't noticed, 2022 has actually been an amazing year for music so far. In fact, I've discovered so many great albums which were released within the last 3 weeks alone, that I almost listed a set of 8 of them here today. But I'm not going to do that to you.
Instead, I'm going to present just 3 dope albums. The irony of today's title is that all 3 of these albums released 2 days ago on Friday April 8th. Each presents a different mood entirely, and each takes you through a journey of its own.
1. Sushma Soma - Home
I had the distinct privilege of attending a pre-launch private listening party for this particular album here in Bangalore with the creators Sushma and Aditya. The album takes the listener through a relatively intense and emotional journey. But it is quite the experience, and I hope you enjoy the album as much as I did. If you like it, show these indie artists some lovin' and share it with your friends :)
2. Father John Misty - Chloe and the Next 20th Century
The man needs no introduction, but if you haven't heard of him before, hopefully this album will encourage you to check it his fantastic discography.
3. Hiatus Kaiyote - Mood Variant (The Remixes)
This underrated force of nature from "down under" finds ways to consistently push the boundaries. This one's a bit left field.
Now, I know some of you ain't album listeners, so I have a pretty great playlist for this week:
Breezin' .
This one's only on Spotify though. I'm currently figuring out ways to get my curated playlists on the other platforms as well. I have found a potential solution, but it's likely I'll have it sorted in the coming weeks. Ideally, the next time I share playlists, I'll be able to do it across all 3 platforms.
In the meantime, have a great week. Enjoy :)
