Hi, hope you've had a great week so far. I've got some dope albums for you today:
Neil Francis - Changes
Toro y Moi - MAHAL
santpoort - ocean tales
Emancipator & Lapa - 11th Orbit
Each of the albums has their own unique soundscape and feel, so hard to say there's a specific vibe, though if I had to choose one, I'd probably say "pensive".
As the per the usual I've put them into a playlist for you:
Enjoy :).
So far I've only been recommending music, but today I decided I'd also like to recommend a movie. Which is one of the reasons I started doing this. So here goes:
I recently watched this film called Prey (2022).
For those of you who aren't aware, this film is actually a prequel to the Predator franchise, and now that the IP is owned by Disney, they've done a pretty great job with it. I won't say much else, except it's a total film, with everything from compelling performances to vivid cinematography and a grounded background score. I've never been into the Predator franchise, but this film is quite fantastic.
You do not need to have any knowledge of the Predator series to enjoy this movie.
It's a Hulu Original in the United States, and everywhere else it's available on Disney+ (Hotstar in India).
Hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
